The PEEP annual Career Mentoring Luncheon is a ‘power lunch’ that is packed with information for up to 250 college-tracked high school students! Students get to dine with 100+ mentors consisting of entrepreneurs, career professionals and business executives from a variety of industries.

Students are matched up with professionals from careers that they are interested in, who have a great impact on their decision-making. Seated at tables of eight, (five students/three mentors) students get to discuss a wide variety of topics from careers, college choices and majors, to paying for college and even life obstacles.

After lunch, students attend breakout sessions hosted by professionals from fields including creative entrepreneurship, healthcare, accounting/general business, technology and legal. After the first year of introducing these sessions, students say they  and provide students with information and handouts on the relevant careers, NC colleges and universities that specialize in those fields and resource links.

Traditionally held at the Westin Uptown Charlotte, the lunchen always includes a notable host and keynote speaker, along with some well established business entrepreneurs speaking with students about their experiences, business and life. The students leave with a better understanding of what it takes to succeed in college, business and life, and resources for some of the top questions students are asking in our In-school Career Mentoring Program.

Join us each year in September at our luncheon. Email peep@pridecommunications.net to be placed on our career mentor list for the luncheon.
