National Small Business Week, recognized each May, is a great time to celebrate and get information about local entrepreneurs – especially for high school students. Each year PEEP hosts a Small Business Week event at Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology to expose students to local entrepreneurs and educate them on the path to entrepreneurship and the opportunities that it holds.
PEEP 2015 Small Business Fair
In 2015, tour annual Small Business Week Fair was generously funded by PNC Bank and attended by 400+ students. Growing in representation from the local small business community, the event kicks off with a panel discussion and Q&A that features local entrepreneurs from a diverse set of backgrounds, attended by 50 students. Following the panel discussion is a small-business fair, featuring booths hosted by local entrepreneurs, including a business that provides students with information on funding college.
