Novant and PEEP teamed up to present the PEEP Medical LEAP: Learning, Evaluating and Planning for careers in Healthcare! 300 high schools students attended on the UNC Charlotte campus for a day of ‘college’! Students heard from Novant Health presenters in areas of Nursing, Laboratory Services, Diversity and Inclusion, the Future of Healthcare, Personal and Professional Branding and Pharmacy. The students were given a wide array of healthcare career planning tips from educational path to opportunities that are and will be available to them upon completion of college.
To coincide with the career program, Novant and PEEP are offering a scholarship to be used to further education for careers in healthcare.

Who can apply?
Novant and PEEP are offering ALL local high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship to be used for furthering their education as they pursue careers in healthcare.
When is the application due?
Applications are due no later than 5pm, —– realizing that our seniors are pretty busy, we have EXTENDED THE DEADLINE TO JUNE 19TH!!!
What can I use the scholarship for?
The scholarship must be used for pursuing an education towards a career in healthcare at a college, university, or trade school (i.e. phlebotomy, medical technician, nursing assistant, etc.) by the fall of 2018.
How do I apply?
To apply students must create a 90 second video, complete the scholarship application and submit by 5pm on JUNE 19.
Can I include others in my video?
Yes, you may include others, but the presentation should be from the applicant. Please note: by submitting your video it becomes the property of the Pride Entrepreneur Education Program and may be used publicly. You and all persons included in the video agree to terms herein.

No, please read and follow all criteria and instructions below and on scholarship application to avoid disqualification.
Criteria:

Applicant must…
…be a current high school junior or senior
… have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
… include a letter of recommendation from a teacher or school administrator
… be pursuing an education towards a career in healthcare and attend a college, university, or trade school (i.e. phlebotomy, medical technician, nursing assistant, etc.) by the fall of 2018.
Your video should:
- Be creative
- Include applicant in the video
- Tell us why you want to pursue a career in healthcare
- Not be more than 90 seconds
- Include your name and contact info
- Be uploaded to the Novant PEEP Medical LEAP Scholarship YouTube Playlist
